Chongqing University Offers Online recruitment service to International Applicants

Recently Chongqing University has formally opened its online recruiting service to international applicants on CHIWEST Online Admission System. Overseas applicants who want to study in China can directly apply for Chongqing University at http://school.cucas.edu.cn/HomePage/120/.

Founded in 1929, Chongqing University had become a national comprehensive university consisting of six colleges in liberal arts, science, engineering, law science and medical science early in 1940s, thus earned a prestige both domestic and abroad then for its outstanding performance in schooling. Chongqing University is located in the city of Chongqing- the youngest municipality directly under the Chinese Central Government, also the center of the economy, culture and transport in Southwest China. The university is also a member of “211” and “985” projects. These two projects aim to transform Chinese universities into world class research institutions.

Chongqing University has 26 colleges plus the graduate school, the City College, the College of Continuing Education and the College of Networking Education. The university offers various courses such as electrical engineering, metallurgical engineering, instrumentation science and technology, mining engineering, architecture, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, economy & business administrations and many more.

The University is also adhering to the international development strategy. They have established a good relationship with US, Britain, France, Russia, Germany, more than 20 countries by more than 40 well-known colleges and universities, as well aas Germany’s Siemen, the US Rockwell Automation, IBM, Microsoft, ABB, Liberty Group, New York International Inc., Japan OMRON, FUNUC, and many more. The university has already sent more than 3000 people to study abroad, participate in international academic conferences or to visit etc. They have also accepted scholar students from Korea, Thailand, US, Canada, Italy, Vietnam, Syria, Russia, Columbia, and more than 30 students from other countries.
