Free Chinese Mandarin Courses for Prospective Degree Candidates

For most international students who seek degree programs in China’s universities, Chinese language would be the major obstacle for you. It is hard to get away with it if you are trying to understand Chinese culture and get a degree from the top China’s universities. Although there are degree programs taught in English offered by a few universities, Chinese language is still essential to the success of your study in China journey.

Prof. Zhao, the admission officer from HUST (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), has brought us a good news. On August 25th,2009, the admission officer was invited to Chiwest and brought “Free Chinese language program” to Chiwest prospect applicants. The University ranks at the top of China's leading universities in comprehensive strength. “We provide one year free Chinese language courses for oversea students who seek degree program with HUST. It will help our international applicants to save a good amount of expenses and fulfill their study in China plan especially during the current global financial crisis” said by Prof. Zhao.

Starting from year 2009, HUST provide free one year Chinese language training to help international students to enhance their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The free one year training program would make the international students’ Chinese language skills proficient enough for their following degree programs.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology is located in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The campus of HUST is beautifully nestled at the foot of Yujia hill and beside the East Lake with green grass scattered all round in 500 hectares of land. The University ranks at the top of China's leading universities in comprehensive strength. It has 36 academic schools and departments covering eleven disciplines: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, agriculture, science, engineering, medicine and management. The University offers a variety of programs, including 75 undergraduate programs, 200 Master programs, 139 doctoral programs and 22 post-doctoral research centers. It has 15 national key disciplines. A number of other leading research centers are located here; 4 National Engineering Research Centers, 4 National Leading Laboratories, 2 National Specialized Laboratories. The University has more than 13,000 faculty members, of whom over 4,000 are full time teachers, 16 are academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences & the Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 900 are professors. The number of resident students is over 50,000, of whom more than 17,000 are graduate students.
