How to apply?

Register on CUCAS

It is necessary to register on CUCAS before starting your online application. With a personal account, you can collect your favorite schools and courses and save them in your account; you can directly apply to China's universities and use all of CUCAS' application services.

Search Courses/ Search Schools

CUCAS also offers Search Courses and Search Schools functions for international students. You can click Course Search to directly search for courses; you can also see China's universities by locations  and a list of China's universities to find a university, and then find the course preferred. If you find a number of courses that you like, CUCAS can help you collect and compare information to help you quicken the application process.

Apply Online

CUCAS Online Application System allows international applicants to DIRECTLY apply for degree & non-degree courses at China's universities. We ask you to complete the following main sections.

• Complete online application form
• Upload required application materials
• Make payment
• Submit application

All the sections listed are required to be completed, as the picture shown below. This is the pre-requisite for the university processing your application.

Once you have finished all the sections, you can submit your application by clicking the button.

Full explanations and help text are available for each section.

1. Complete online application form

In this section, applicants need to fill out the online application form which requires the applicant's personal information, education background, language proficiency, etc.

Some form items have certain requirements which will be listed below the blank. Please fill in the blanks as requested.

If you have no idea about how to fill out the form, please check if there is any instruction behind the blank, as shown below.

> Personal Details

Personal information about the applicant must be filled in truly and correctly.

Please note that the university will require your current mailing address to deliver your acceptance letter and JW202 form if you are accepted.

> Education

Applicants have to provide the information for all completed secondary, vocational, technical, undergraduate or postgraduate training and qualifications. Any incomplete courses should also be listed.

> Employment

Please clarify your work experiences and you current post.

> Language Proficiency

Please state your knowledge of languages, especially Chinese and English. If you have passed a language test, please include a copy of the results in your application materials. This is very important because it will decide your teaching language in China.

> Proposed Study in China

Please choose the detailed information concerning your study in China according to the options given in this cell.

Indicate your proposed duration of specialized study in China.

Since the teaching language of Chinese universities is Chinese, it's very important that you state whether or not you need elementary Chinese study prior to your specialized study.

> Source of Financial Support

Please specify the source of financial support for your study in China.

> The Guarantor Charging Your Case in China

The guarantor charging your case in China will be contacted if necessary. If you do not have a guarantor in China and the university that you are applying to do not require one, you may leave this section blank. If the university that you are applying to requires a guarantor, you may list CUCAS as your guarantor.

> Family Members' Information

General information about the applicant's family members will be required in this part.

2. Upload Required Application materials

Please upload photocopies of required application materials according to the university’s admission criteria.
All the materials should be MS-Word (.doc), Adobe PDF (.pdf) documents, image files (.gif, .jpg), or compression files (.rar, .zip). Each file cannot exceed 8 MB (megabytes)

> How to upload files

Click ‘Browse’ in the ‘File Uploads’ column.

Select the required file from your PC.

And then click OK to upload.

At this time, the file will be uploaded by CUCAS automatically. According to your local connection speed, uploading will normally last from a few seconds to 1 minute. In the uploading process, please don’t leave  thecurrent section or make any changes.

> How to prepare the photocopies

1) If you have access to a scanner, you can scan your document to create an image on the PC,

2) If you have a digital camera or a mobile phone with camera, you can take a photo for your application document.

The following documents may be required.

• Passport photo
• Photocopy of valid passport
• Photocopy of valid visa or residence permit
• Personal ID card
• Health certificate
• Certification of no criminal record
• Certificate of HSK
• Letter of guarantee
• Financial support statement
• Certificate/diploma of highest education
• Academic transcript of highest education

More documents may be required subject to each school's request.

3. Make Payment

In this section, please pay your application fee to each university in addition to the CUCAS processing fee.

• An application fee is charged by the individual university or universities that you apply to.
• A CUCAS processing fee is charged for the operation and maintenance of CUCAS. (30 U.S. dollars, which covers your application to six courses.)

CUCAS offers four types of payment methods. Please carefully select  your preferred payment method and to make the payment.

CUCAS offers an online invoice to help you to make an offline payment more conveniently. Click on ‘Browse Invoice’ to see your CUCAS invoice. Please take the invoice with you when you wire the money.

 

Students who choose Western Union or Bank transfer as their payment method need to upload the payment receipt after you wire the money at the post office or in the bank.

4. Submit Application

Please submit your application once the application fee is confirmed by CUCAS.

To submit your application, please access My CUCAS-> My Applications by logging in CUCAS, click 'Continue' at 'Application Status' column, and go to the 'Submit Application' section.

You will see a big 'Submit' button. Click the button and your application will be sent  directly to the university.

When you have submitted application, please wait for the university’s response. Any questions regarding your application status can be sent to admission@cucas.cn.
