Cost of Applying on CUCAS

To apply to a Chinese university through CUCAS, a service fee of US $50 is charged by CUCAS. This fee allows you to apply to up to six courses. Each individual university you apply to will charge their own application fee which CUCAS is authorized to collect on their behalf.

CUCAS Service Fee

The CUCAS Service Fee (50 US dollars, from Nov. 1^st 2011) is charged for Online Application Services & Admission Offer Delivery Service. (Why only 50 USD?)

The CUCAS Service Fee will cover six applications, and your admission packages delivery. If it is the first time you apply on CUCAS, you will be asked to pay the CUCAS Service Fee. You will not be charged for the next five applications.

Application Fee

• According to the agreements between CUCAS & China’s universities, CUCAS does the collection of application fees for universities.
• Paying the application fee (usually between 60 to 120 US dollars) is the prerequisite of an applicant getting the chance of enrollment.
• Since universities in China only accept payment in RMB, CUCAS is responsible for the commission for a foreign exchange & remittance for universities.
• The application fee for Beijing Language & Culture University is RMB 600 or RMB 800, the same as posted on its website. CUCAS converts Renminbi into US dollars on the CUCAS website for students’ convenience.
