1. International Chinese Teachers Scholarship includes tuition, accommodation, living expenses (except for four-week trainees) and comprehensive medical insurance; the living standard for undergraduates is RMB 2500 / month;

2. The accommodation fee will be used by the receiving institutions to provide free dormitory for students, usually double rooms. With the approval of the scholarship students and the receiving institution, the university will pay the accommodation fee of RMB 700 / month.

3. Scholarship students will register at the time specified in the admission notice of the receiving institution, otherwise the scholarship qualification will be cancelled. Those who register before the 15th (including the 15 th) of the same month will be paid full living expenses in the same month; those who register after the 15th will be paid half month of living expenses in the same month.

4. Scholarship students who leave China for more than 15 days during the school period (excluding winter and summer holidays) for personal reasons will stop paying their living expenses during the period.

5. Scholarship students who suspend, drop out or take disciplinary action from the receiving institutions due to personal reasons shall suspend the living expenses from the date of suspension, withdrawal or receiving the notice of punishment. The living expenses of the graduation (completion) students shall be paid to half a month after the graduation (completion) date determined by the school.

6. The comprehensive medical insurance premium shall be implemented according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education of China on studying in China, and shall be purchased by the receiving universities. The standard for more than one academic year is RMB 800 / year / person.

Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese; friendly to China, no criminal record, abide with the laws, regulations and school rules and regulations of Chinese government; physical and mental health, excellent in character and learning; interested in Chinese language education, teaching and related work;

2. Age: 16-35 (on September 1,2023). In-service Chinese teachers are relaxed to 45 years old, and undergraduate scholarship applicants are generally less than 25 years old;

3. High school education;

4. HSK level 4210, HSKK intermediate 60.
When in-service Chinese teachers apply for various scholarships, they can provide the on-the-job certificate and recommendation letter issued by the working institution, and avoid submitting the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate.

5. Students with academic qualifications must participate in the annual evaluation.

Documents You Need to Provide ( Application Documents Sample)

1. Scan the copy of the passport photo page.

2. Scanning copies of HSK and HSKK score reports (valid for two years).

3. Letter of recommendation from the head of the recommendation agency.

4. Students should provide the highest educational certificate (proof of graduation expectation) and school transcript.

5. Master of International Chinese Education must provide recommendation letters from two associate professors or above professional title tutors. Provide priority to the work of the institution after graduation.

6. In-service Chinese teachers should attach the employment certificate and recommendation letter issued by the working institution.

7. Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit a certificate of entrustment signed by their guardians in China.

8. Applicants should also attend the interview organized by our university, and provide other supporting materials as required.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
