A. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreigner's passport.

B. Applicants for a Master'sprogrammust hold a Chinese bachelor degree or an equivalent degree.

C. Applicants for English-taught programs should have reached IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85. Applicants who hold a degree from a university where classes are taught completely in English may submit a certificate provided by the university certifying that classes are taught in English.
Applicantsfor Chinese-taught programs should have reached HSK Level5 with a score of no less than 210.
Please note: The particular language requirements of some individual programs are stipulated in the agreements of the programs in question.

D. Applicants must not have a criminal record and must abide by the laws of China, comply with the rules of Nankai University, and respect the customs of the Chinese people.

Can be filled out in Chinese or English. The requirements for testing must be rigorously adhered to as laid out in the form. The result must be issued after October 2022 in order to be valid.

The letters should be written in Chinese or English; the phone number and email address of the person issuing the recommendation should be included.

5. Personal Statement
Including study or research plan, personal background, financial situation, personal strengths etc., written in Chinese or English (no less than 800 words).

6. Supplementary Materials
Other materials that can prove the applicants’ learning ability and comprehensive abilities, such as award certificates in sports or arts, specialty certificates, published papers, undergraduate admission notices issued by other universities, etc.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: Yes, please refer to our "Terms & Conditions".

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
