Eligibility
(1) Non-Chinese citizen. (2) The applicant who is studying for an undergraduate course shall obtain a degree or certificate equivalent to that of a Chinese senior high school graduate, aged 18-35 years old. (3) The applicant should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, and have two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, aged under 40. (4) The applicant should have a master's degree or equivalent education, and have two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, aged under 45. (5) Voluntary compliance with Chinese laws and regulations of Tianjin Foreign Studies University. (6) HSK Level 4 Certificate (No need for TCSOL students).

(1) Scholarship application form (2) Notarized certificate of the highest educational level (photocopy) If the applicant is a student in school, he or she should submit a pre-graduation certificate issued by his or her school. Texts other than Chinese and English should be accompanied by notarized original Chinese or English translations. (3) The original of my final academic transcript Applicants are required to provide the original academic transcript, and notarized Chinese or English translations are required for texts other than Chinese and English. (4) The copy of HSK certificate. Undergraduate applicants need to reach HSK level 4, master applicants need to reach HSK level 5, doctoral applicants need to reach HSK level 6. There is no HSK requirement for undergraduate majors of Chinese International Education and English teaching majors. (5) Study or Research Program in China Applicants may use Chinese or English to elaborate on their study and research plans in China (with additional paper, not less than 800 words). Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.
Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.
Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.
Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
