
Dongying Vocational College (DVC) was established in 2001 through the merger of Dongying Radio and Television University, Dongying Finance and Economics School, Dongying Normal School, Dongying Agricultural School and Dongying Agricultural Science Research Institute. It is a full-time college approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and sponsored by the People's Government of Dongying City. It is a national "Double High Plan" colleg, a national key higher vocational college, a provincial-level exemplary higher vocational college in Shandong Province, and a provincial-level high-quality higher vocational college. Covering an area of 1,065,833 square meters with a construction area of 460,000 square meters, DVC has1,078 faulty members and 19,000 full-time students, consisting of 9 secondary colleges, including College of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, College of Energy Equipment Manufacturing, College of Intelligent Construction Engineering, College of Information and Future Technologies, College of Tourism, Culture, Health Care and Education, College of Ecology and Biology, College of Marxism(College of Public Education, College of Digital Finance, Economics and Management, and College of International Exchange and Cooperation. It offers43 majors and recruits students from 18 provinces and regions across the country.
Adhering to an open approach to education, Dongying Vocational College has established cooperation with 61 universities abroad and launched 3 Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. It has set up "Ban-Mo College" and "Agricultural Engineering and Technology College" in Malaysia, a "Luban Workshop" in Kenya, a "Chinese Education Center" in Russia, an overseas branch school and a Chinese Learning Center in Tunisia; Developed six Tanzania national professional standards, three Ethiopia professional standards and one Thailand curriculum standard. A total of 320 cultural exchange students and 75 language students from countries such as South Korea, Malaysia, Russia and Tunisia have been recruited successively. The College has been awarded the title of “a typical institution for international cooperation and exchange in vocational education” in 2022, “The Special Contribution Award for Foreign Exchange and Cooperation” and “Outstanding Contribution Award for Tanzania Vocational Education Development” in 2023, “The Outstanding Partner of Morocco for Vocational Education” in 2024.
