Introduction of Guangxi Normal University

Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) is located in the historical and tourist City of Guilin, which is world- renowned for its unique beauty of mountains and rivers. Founde in 1932, GXNU is now a famous provincial key comprehensive university, with 3 campuses - Wangcheng, Yucai and Yanshan - occupying a total area of around 300 hectares.

GXNU consists of 23 colleges and 27 research institutes directly under the university administration, offering Doctor’s degree and Master’s degree in 90 courses, and 48 undergraduate programs. The university now has a student population of 30,000 people, of whom there are about 15,000 full-time undergraduate students, over 4,000 graduate students, and more than 700 international students from 25 countries studying on a long-term basis.

In addition, due to the rapid development of international students education, active international exchanges and diversified cooperation, its remarkable achievements in external exchanges and cooperation has obtained the consistent high praise of the domestic and foreign communities and become a new highlight in the university. In September 2007, 83 TV news reporters from China, Korea, Japan and 10 ASEAN countries attended the “Forum on Beibu Gulf Economic Zone”, making series of reports about the university.
