Introduction of Guangxi University of Foreign Languages

    Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL), formerly known as Guangxi Dongfang Foreign Language College, was founded in June 2004. Approved by China’s Ministry of Education, it was upgraded in April 2011 to offer bachelor's programs.
    The University has 2 campuses, Wuhe Campus and Konggang Campus, with a combined area of 154.3 hectares. Wuhe Campus covers an area of 68 hectares including buildings covering 300,000 square meters. The University has over 13, 000 full-time students.
    GUFL comprises 10 schools: the School of South-East Asian Languages & Cultures, the School of Occidental Languages & Cultures, the School of Literature, the School of International Trade & Economics, the School of International Business Administration, the School of International Accounting, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Arts, the School of International Education and the School of Continuing Education. We offer 10 language major programs including Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Burmese, Indonesian, English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese, covering a variety of 62 majors. The University offers 18 bachelor degree programs and the courses cover disciplines such as literature, art, management, economics, and engineering. We have exchange relations with 40 universities in Taiwan, Hong Kong and further afield.
    In the past 10 years, GUFL has received over 200 honors and awards at national and provincial levels, including the National Advanced Private Education Institution, the National Excellent Private Higher Institution and the Guangxi Excellent Higher Education Institution for Student Employment.
