Maple Leaf’s original mission was to provide a blend of the best of Chinese and Western curriculum, teaching methods and educational practices, to prepare Chinese students for success in post-secondary studies outside of China. Introduction and Advantages of Dalian Maple Leaf International School

I. Introduction to Maple Leaf Educational Systems

As one of the leaders in China's international education sector, Maple Leaf Education Systems has, since its establishment in 1995, opened nearly 100 schools in over 20 cities at home and abroad, including Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Dalian, Wuhan, Zhenjiang, Luoyang, Yiwu, Xi'an, Huai'an, Huzhou, Yancheng, Haikou, Xiangyang, Luzhou, Jinan, Hohhot in China, as well as Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Singapore. 

II. Introduction to Maple Leaf Educational School District-North

The Maple Leaf Educational School District-North is the birthplace of Maple Leaf Education. The first Maple Leaf school was founded in Dalian in 1995. In November 2023, Maple Leaf Educational Systems announced the establishment of the North School District, which is the fourth School District following Hainan, Wuhan, and Tianjin. Currently, the North School District consists of Dalian Maple Leaf International School (Senior High), Dalian Maple Leaf Bilingual School Jinshitan Primary & Junior High Campus, Dalian Maple Leaf Bilingual School Development Zone Campus, Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School, Jinan Maple Leaf Bilingual School, and 4 Maple Leaf chain kindergartens in Dalian. As of July 2025, the total number of students enrolled exceeds 4,000. 

III. Maple Leaf World School Program

(1) Independently developed by Maple Leaf Educational Systems and accredited by international authoritative institutions, the Maple Leaf World School Program has been widely recognized by universities both domestically and internationally. As the world's first international curriculum with Chinese characteristics, it includes English academic courses, Chinese academic courses, English language courses, and Chinese language courses. 

(2) The Chinese language course, namely K12 Standard Chinese, is a graded course on Chinese language and culture specially developed and designed for international students in the K12 stage. It has been strictly aligned with the latest national standards for international Chinese education and has obtained official certification from CTI (Hanban) regarding its applicability to national Chinese proficiency tests. 

Through the implementation of a graded teaching and assessment system, this course enables international students to acquire Chinese culture while mastering language skills scientifically. It has been authorized for use by many foreign schools. 

(3) The English language course is aligned with the international CEFR and China's CSE authoritative standards, featuring a more detailed 9-level graded curriculum, assessment, and teaching evaluation system. Utilizing the PPPS high-efficiency teaching model and 12 teaching strategies, an ESL language intensive year is set up during the transition from Grade 9 to Grade 10 to help non-native English speakers lay a solid foundation in English, fully preparing them for English academic courses in high school.

IV. Advantages of Supporting Services at Dalian Maple Leaf International School

(1) Assistance in processing study visas for Indonesian students admitted to the school
With its comprehensive service system and good relations with Dalian's foreign-related departments, Dalian Maple Leaf School assists either one or both parents (father or mother) in applying for a one-year accompanying visa. 

(2) Comprehensive training services for HSK Chinese, IELTS, AP, and other exams 
During the study period, in addition to the K12 Standard Chinese courses, the school also provides training services for exams such as HSK, IELTS, and AP. Dalian Maple Leaf is an officially certified test center for these exams. Students have the opportunity to participate in various global academic competitions during their studies. 

(3) One-stop university admission guidance services from enrollment onwards
From the moment of enrollment, the school provides one-stop university admission guidance services for students and parents, assisting students in applying for domestic 985/211 universities and top 100 universities in the world rankings, relieving parents of their worries.
