1. Shanghai University Of Engineering Science (SUES) Introduction
SUES is a general full-time university majoring in engineering science and featuring a harmonious development and interdisciplinary communication of various branches of learning such as Management studies, Art Design, etc.
SUES boasts eighteen schools and sections, namely: School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrics and Electronics, School of Management studies, School of chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Material Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Art Design, School of Air Transportation, School of Fashion Engineering, School of Urban Rail Transportation, Sino-French Institute of Fashion Designer, Sino-Korean School of Multi-media Design, School of Fundamental Studies, School of Advanced Vocational Education,
School of Advanced Technician, Teaching Section of Social Science, Teaching Section of Sports, School of Adult Education. SUES also has five well-equipped teaching and training bases: Shanghai Automotive Engineering Training Center, Computer Center, Engineering Training Center, Art Design Exhibition Center. Fashion Design Exhibition Center. SUES possesses seven organizations of scientific research: Institute of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Institute of Laser Industrial Technology, institute of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Economy, Research Center of Labor Relations Research Center of Nanometer-technology t Shanghai Research Center of Social Security. Among them, Auto Engineering Training Center is a key Laboratory of Shanghai Municipality.
SUES owns 52special fields of study for undergraduate students and 15 majors for vocational and adult students. The total number of on-campus students reaches up to 12,000.
SUES is possessed of several campuses-Songjiang New Campus, Xianxia Campus, Xincun Campus and Yixian Campus, etc. Songjiang New Campus occupies an area of around 800,000 square meters. The overall building area amounts to 250,OOO square meters. Major structures include Classroom Building, Information Center, Administration Building, Modern Industry Training Center. Art Building, Teachers & Students Center and School Canteen.
