Founded in 2003 as the international division of Xi’an Gaoxin International School, Xi’an Liangjiatan International School (XLIS) became an independent non-profit international school in 2013, serving the educational needs of international enterprises and families in Xi’an and Shaanxi Province. Located within the Xi’an International Community, the 103-mu campus was co-designed by Chinese and international architects, combining modern educational principles with the essence of Chinese culture. XLIS is the first IB World School in Northwest China authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and an accredited SAT and AP testing center, offering a continuous K–12 education program. As a member of WASC, ACAMIS, EARCOS, and CIS, the school upholds internationally recognized academic and operational standards. Our professional community includes 162 staff members, 74 of whom are international educators representing 21 countries, and 28 Chinese staff with overseas study or work experience. The teacher retention rate for recent 2 years is over 90%, far exceeding the national average. Here, every culture is respected and every voice is heard.
