Founded in 1958, Yancheng Institute of Technology (YCIT) is a full-time public university located in Jiangsu Province, China. With two campuses situated on Jianjun Road and Xiwang Middle Avenue in Yancheng city—a picturesque coastal city renowned as the "Oriental Wetland, Home of Red-crowned Cranes and Milu Deer"—the university boasts a vibrant academic environment. YCIT offers 70 undergraduate programs and 20 master’s degree programs across 18 faculties. The university currently enrolls over 24,000 full-time undergraduates and 1400 postgraduates, who come from 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China. The university employs 1600 plus faculty members. Among them, over 850 hold senior academic titles (professors or associate professors), more than 770 possess doctoral degrees, and nearly 600 serve as postgraduate supervisors. YCIT has appointed over 20 distinguished experts, including academicians and Changjiang Scholars, and over 200 part-time professors. YCIT has been selected as a member institution of the "China-Africa Hundred Universities Cooperation Program". It has established partnerships with more than 70 prestigious universities and higher education institutions worldwide, in countries such as the United States, Germany, Russia, and Japan, as well as in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The university actively engages in academic exchanges and research collaborations, including credit recognition agreements and joint master’s programs. Notably, YCIT runs three Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, approved by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the University of Greenwich (UK) and the University of Detroit Mercy (US).
