
Zhaoqing University is located in Zhaoqing, the largest city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in southern China. It is a public full-time undergraduate institution established by the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and supervised by the Provincial Department of Education, with the authority to confer master’s degrees. Founded in 1970, after over 50 years of development, the university has established a teaching system covering eleven major disciplines: Economics, Law, Education, Literature, Science, Engineering, Management, Art, History, and Agriculture.
The university currently has nearly 27,000 full-time students, 1,728 faculty and staff, including 1,249 full-time teachers, 517 with senior professional titles, and 588 holding doctoral degrees.
The university comprises 21 secondary schools, offers 58 undergraduate programs, and recruits students from 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. It has 9 master’s degree programs.
